We are currently seeking a mid-level Software QA to join our growing team. As a Software QA, your primary responsibility will be to prepare for and perform quality assurance acceptance testing activities on all major gaming software releases. Additionally, you will be involved in testing external vendor software applications as well as internal software applications.

Key Responsibilities

What you will do:

  • Test Case Development and Maintenance: Review specifications, write test cases, develop test scenarios, and maintain testing databases.
  • Manual Testing: Execute a mix of manual testing procedures using software tools.
  • Defect Tracking and Coordination: Maintain a software defect tracking database and coordinate software install timelines.
  • Test Documentation: Prepare and maintain test documentation as directed.
  • Functional, Regression, and OS Testing: Perform functional, regression, and operating system testing on various user interfaces.
  • Complete Testing of Internally Developed Applications: Perform complete testing on all internally developed software applications as directed.
  • Operational Verification Checks: Perform various operational verification checks on designated systems.
  • Process Improvement: Consistently improve processes and procedures to boost test efficiency where possible.
  • Anomaly Identification and Resolution: Identify and report game anomalies, and work with developers to resolve them.
  • Regulatory Compliance Evaluation: Evaluate all Ainsworth product lines against technical regulatory requirements.
  • Test Procedure Execution and Documentation: Follow step-by-step test procedures and document the results.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Collaborate with stakeholders to define acceptance criteria, plan testing, and track data quality for upcoming features/releases.
  • Data Quality Reporting and Tracking: Report and track data quality, and use that data to drive conversations around product quality and development health.Support developers before, during, and after deployments.
Your profile

What we're looking for:

  • Manual testing experience with a minimum of 3 years of experience using manual testing methodologies and techniques.
  • Proficiency in Scripting Languages: such as Python, C++, and/or C#, and able to write automated test scripts using scripting languages.
  • Gaming Industry Experience: Experience in software or game testing in a fast-paced environment. And have the knowledge and understanding of gaming regulatory requirements.
  • Automated Testing Experience: Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and tools ( It will be preferred) 
  • Proficient in handling bug-tracking databases like Jira, Bugzilla, and Trello.
  • Ability to effectively track and manage software defects.
  • Agile environment: should have experience working with Waterfall or Agile system development lifecycles, such as Scrum, and familiarity with Agile testing methodologies and practices.
  • Test Case Management: Should have experience working with test case management tools, such as Zephyr and HP Quality Center.
  • Ability to create, manage, and execute test cases effectively.
  • Project Leadership: leading and being responsible for larger or smaller test projects. And the ability to take ownership and lead testing efforts.
  • Familiarity with platform-specific testing guidelines and processes.
  • Game Engine Familiarity: Be familiar with one or more game engines, preferably Unreal, and understanding of game development processes and workflows.
